Betting Information
Something went wrong or Iʼve changed my mind, can I cancel my bet?
If somethingʼs gone wrong, our support team can help, otherwise all bets are final.
Why donʼt you offer fixed odds, team betting or free bets like other sites?
At Puntt we do things differently. We offer pool-betting, a form of wagering which was designed to be fair for both operators and customers. This means we can offer more varied and interesting markets, pay out at better odds, and we donʼt need to close down winning customers to turn a profit.
Other sites offer team betting and complicated ‘free bet’ offers that are difficult to understand, which is cool if you like that sort of thing, but we want to offer better value and a service based on honesty, transparency and the highest levels of customer protection.
What is meant by ‘pool betting’?
The money bet on a market for a match is placed into a pool, similar to poker. This means when you bet with Puntt, you arenʼt betting against a faceless mathematician working in a swanky bookmakerʼs office, youʼre betting against other esports fans. Youʼre betting against people like you.
How do you calculate the odds? Why is there only an estimated return?
Odds are calculated based on how much each bettor has wagered on the players in a pool before it closes. The odds are not finalised until the match starts as odds are based on which players have had the most money placed on them.
When you place a bet youʼll see an estimated return, this is the amount you would win if the pool was settled at the time you placed the bet, this return could go up or down as more people bet on the pool. For more information see our betting rules.
What happens to my bet if thereʼs a problem with the match or itʼs cancelled/forfeit?
Although weʼll always try to settle a pool and return winnings as soon as possible, sometimes we may need to delay payout of winnings in the event of ambiguity, dispute, or official enquiry of the result. Any bets on matches, tournaments, players or outcomes which are cancelled, voided, or otherwise unable to declare a winner, will be refunded. For more information see our betting rules.
Which esports can I bet on?
Currently we offer betting on CS:GO and League of Legends, but we have plans to offer more titles soon. Let us know which you would like to see by emailing [email protected].
What is a rollover?
If there is no winner on a pool then the total is rolled over to another pool, less the pool fee. For more information see our betting rules.
Why is my payout less/more than I thought?
Odds can fluctuate right up until the pool closes. If you bet on a certain player when the pool opens, and over the duration of the pool everyone else bets on them, their odds will go down. Alternatively, if you bet on a player and everyone else bets on someone else, your odds will go up.
